2007 USTA Southwest Junior Closed Tennis Tournament

This past weekend, we took a day-trip to Tucson, AZ to cover the 2007 USTA SW Jr Tennis Tournament. The drive wasn't as long as we remembered driving from Phoenix to Oro Valley (North Tucson). The Hilton Conquistador Resort, site of the tennis competition, defintely had some breath-taking views of the mountains. It was exciting to watch and photograph these young athletes play their hearts while they ran, jumped and swung their rackets at the balls. Only the top junior players under 18 years old from AZ and neighboring states were invited to compete. It brought me back to my high school days when I was on the tennis team... Of course I mostly warmed the bench though! We captured many amazing action shots.
